Title: Western Snowpack Update

The 2018-2019 snowpack year was off to good start in November, however, we lost a little ground in snowpack buildup across the west as December is a drier month. While the best snowpack buildup usually comes with the better snow producing months of February, March and April, we are expecting a more active pattern later this month that will help build snowpack levels again.

Below is an update of snowpack conditions in the west. All basins that are shaded in green or blue have snowpack levels at 90 percent or better. Yellow shading are levels at 70 to 89 percent of normal. Orange shading shows levels less than 70 percent.
