Title: Winter Weather Coming

This Thanksgiving week will bring some changing weather to a lot of the USA in the form of colder temperatures as well as some winter weather conditions including some snow!

Beef producers across the USA should be prepared for a return to more active weather this week and as we head into early December. While no severe cold is expected, there will be trend toward colder temperatures across many areas through the next two weeks.

A Pacific storm system will bring colder temperatures and some rain and snow to parts of the Rockies and Southern Plains to start the week.  The unsettled weather will move eastward into the Midwest, Great Lakes and eventually New England.

The graphic below shows expected precipitation over the next 10 days. Note how wet many areas of the USA will be. Especially in the Midwest, Great Lakes and East Coast.

A fair amount of the precipitation will be in the form of snowfall. Some of the first significant snowfall of the season will be found in the Midwest and Great Lakes. Note the extensive snow potential in the central and east in the graphic below.
